Times-tables fortnight

Year 7 Revision
For Fridays test you will need to know these things:
Formulae and Equations
Calculations
- Divide and multiply numbers by 10,100, 1000 etc.
- Use mental methods to add/subtract integers.
- Use pencil and paper methods to multiply/divide integers.
2D shape
- Name and describe common 2D shapes.
- Reflect 2D shapes ingiven mirror lines.·
- Recognise line symmetry.
- Rotate 2D shapes.
- Recognise rotationalsymmetry.
- Calculate perimeter and area of a rectangle.
- Calculate the area and perimeter of a triangle
Statistics
- Record data in a tally chart.
- Construct and interpret bar charts.
- Construct and interpret pictograms.
- Interpret pie charts

Compound Area
Compound area is where we find the area of shapes which are made up from other shapes.
HERE is some homework on simple compound areas.
Split each shapeup into rectangles, work out the area of each, then add them together.
